Join us on Saturday, February 8 from 2:00 to 4:30 PM in the Community Room for a special Black History Month Celebration honoring Black excellence in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), the transformative contributions of Black inventors, and the powerful combination of diversity and success.
This event will showcase the innovative talents of Sun Prairie School District students as they present their creative projects and ideas inspired by STEAM. Together, we’ll explore the profound impact of Black inventors and the importance of diversity in driving innovation and success.
The program will also feature two inspiring guest speakers who will share their experiences and insights on the importance of diversity, STEAM, and the legacy of Black innovation. Participants will also be able to explore exhibits that highlight the achievements of Black inventors and their transformative inventions.
This event is an opportunity to celebrate the legacy of Black pioneers in STEAM fields while fostering a deeper understanding of the vital role diversity plays in success. Let's come together to inspire, educate, and empower our community.
This program is in partnership with Jamarek, Sun Prairie Community Schools, Sun Prairie School District, and Combinations to Success.
