NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Dane County will be offering in-person programming  throughout the month of May, which is recognized as Mental Health Awareness Month. Staff from NAMI will present on the fundamentals of mental illness and how to offer support to those experiencing challenges. In addition to the presentations, there will be a lived experience panel made up of individuals who share their stories of living with mental illness and a Sun Prairie Police Officer to teach the community about what it means to be a CIT (Crisis Intervention Trained) officer.
