Take a march through the history of women's suffrage. Explore the stories of leaders, tactics, losses, and victories as women worked for the right to vote. Learn how Wisconsin fit within the larger story of enfranchisement and analyze the complications that suffragists faced as they sought the right to vote. You'll also learn about what the movement failed to do -- like give African American women and Native American women the right to vote -- and we'll discuss how women have been involved in politics since the passage of the amendment. Presented by Simone Munson, a special collections librarian with the Wisconsin Historical Society Archives.
