The US deals with about 200 countries in such matters as trade, security, and travel. That’s where the US State Department comes in. It has about 8,000 employees who implement American policies abroad and help US citizens in their relations with other nations. Tom Loftus, from Sun Prairie, headed one of our embassies overseas as Ambassador to Norway from 1993-97. Loftus has continued to follow developments in the diplomatic arena and has heard the concerns people have about the current administration’s approach. If you would like to benefit from his insights, join Ambassador Loftus and SPARC (Sun Prairie Action Resource Coalition) for its latest Community Conversation. This talk will be followed by a discussion and Q&A.
