The novel, a tense and atmospheric thriller about the first female sheriff in rural Bad Axe County, Wisconsin has been compared to the works of both Megan Miranda and Dennis Lehane. He is also the author of Red Sky, Red Dragonfly and the Fly Fishing Mystery series. When not crafting marvelous mysteries for the masses, John teaches writing in Madison.
