Would you like to learn to play Mahjong? Mahjong is a 4-player game that originated in 19th century China. The game is played with 136 or 144 small tiles based on Chinese characters or symbols, and the object is to collect winning sets of tiles, similar to card games such as gin rummy.

This fall we are offering 4 sets of 2-session classes that will teach the basics of Chinese Mahjong. Each set is two Sundays in a row, from 1:00-3:00pm. Registrants may sign up for only one set as space is limited, and should be able to commit to both sessions. All sessions will be held in Discussion Room 1. Please call 608-825-0702 or stop by the library's Information Desk to register.

Set 1: Sept 10 & 17
Set 2: Sept 24 & Oct 1
Set 3: Oct 8 & 15
Set 4: Oct 22 & 29
