Program Description

Event Details

Would you like to learn to play Mahjong? Mahjong is a 4-player game that originated in 19th century China. The game is played with 136 or 144 small tiles based on Chinese characters or symbols, and the object is to collect winning sets of tiles, similar to card games such as gin rummy.

This June we are offering two 2-week sessions that will teach the basics of Chinese Mahjong. Each session consists of two Tuesdays in a row, from 2:00-4:00PM. Registrants may sign up for only one session, as space is limited, and should be able to commit to both dates. All sessions will be held in Discussion Room 1.

Session 1: June 4 and June 11 - Click here to register.
Session 2: June 18 and June 25 - Click here to register.

This program is for adults and youth ages 12+ (with accompanying adult).
