Red Cross Blood Drive

Event Details

The library is proud to partner with American Red Cross to host a blood drive on Wednesday, May 17. Please read the following important information:

  • Appointments preferred; walk-ins welcome! For an appointment call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit RedCrossBlood.org
  • Bring a photo ID or your blood donor card, or two other forms of ID.
  • Eat a healthy meal with iron rich foods and drink an extra 16 oz. of water and fluids before the donation. Blood donation typically takes about an hour. Want to know more about how to prepare? See the attachment "Preparing for a Great Donor Experience" (down below).
  • You must be at least 17 years old to donate blood with the Red Cross, or 16 years old with parental/guardian consent. Click here for consent form and more information.
