Program Description

Event Details

A monthly book club devoted to creating meaningful conversations about race by exploring works of contemporary and historical African-American authors. Discussions are led by Sun Prairie residents, Donna Mackey and Marilyn Ruffin. Get ready to get uncomfortable and get real!

This month, we'll be discussing the 2021 documentary "How It Feels To Be Free," from the PBS American Masters series. A limited number of DVDs will be available for checkout at the library, and it is available for viewing digitally via Kanopy or Hoopla Digital (available to Sun Praire library card holders). A film screening will also be held at the library on Saturday, March 25, at 10:00am.

The Urban SUN book club meets via Zoom. Please register to attend the discussion, and Zoom details will be emailed to you.
