Program Description

Event Details

Urban SUN: Black Voices Book Club is a monthly book club (since September 2020) devoted to creating meaningful conversations about race by exploring works of contemporary and historical African-American authors. Discussions are led by Sun Prairie residents, Donna Mackey and Marilyn Ruffin. Get ready to get uncomfortable and get real!

April is National Poetry Month, and our selection this month is Poeartistry: Empathy. Limited copies are available at the library's Information Desk for those who register. We are delighted to welcome the book's co-creators, Rage Sinclaire (poet) and Bam Supremereign (artist) to this discussion!

The Urban SUN book club meets via Zoom. Please register to attend the discussion, and Zoom details will be emailed to you.
