Urban Sun: Black Voices Book Club

Urban SUN: Black Voices Book Club- a monthly book club since September 2020- is devoted to creating meaningful conversations about race by exploring works of contemporary and historical African-American authors. Discussions are led by Sun Prairie residents, Donna Mackey and Marilyn Ruffin. Get ready to get uncomfortable and get real!

This month's selection is The Color Purple, by Alice Walker. Participants may read the book, or watch either the 1985 or 2023 movie... or all of the above! Copies of the book and DVDs will be available at the library's Information Desk for those who register.
